Today training and qualifications went down under a blue sky and in the perfectly shaped Mottolino Snowpark!
After having warmed up in the training session, Rookies and Groms began the competition and impressed the judges with their impressive riding skills.
All boys and girls have enjoyed the stunning set up, thanks to the hard work of Mottolino shapers.
In the afternoon WRT riders went to Aquadranda, one of Europe’s largest centres for leisure, sport, relaxation and well-ness, to relax, have fun and recharge the batteries for the Finals which will take place tomorrow from 11.30 to 15.00. Don’t miss this amazing show and of course, the Rock and Ridefinal party at Miky’s Pub!
The 2019 World Rookie Fest by Rock and Ride has finally started and riders from 10 nations were welcomed by a great amount of powder.
Unfortunately, the heavy snow conditions and the low visibility in the park didn’t allow the training to take place. However, these young guns had the chance to spend their whole days in Livigno backcountry and to do some freeride surrounded by amazing snowy landscapes.
Moreover, after the freeride sessions, they participated to many side activities organized by the World Rookie Tour staff at Plaza Placheda.
Yesterday evening at Livigno Touristic Centre took place the event presentation with the 2017/2018 World Rookie Tour TV Show and the welcome party, where riders had the opportunity to chill and to know each other.
Indeed, this afternoon, to relax the body and the mind after a snowboarding day, rookies gathered for a yoga session at the race office in Plaza Placheda.
Competition will start tomorrow at Mottolino Snowparkat 9:00! Stay tuned and don’t miss all the updates on World Rookie Tour Facebook and Instagram page!

Today the Black Yeti is happy to present to you Gabe Adams. Gabe is 15 years old and comes from England. In this video he speaks about his experience in the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY, a series of amateur snowboard competitions, which gave Gabe a Wild Card to compete in World Rookie Finals in Kitzsteinhorn Zell am See-Kaprun Austria, where he came second!
Gabe is one of the many athletes who dream to become professional snowboarders. The World Rookie Tour is therefore proud to help and support these young guns!
