Calling all young snowboarders and freeskiers! The Slovakia Rookie Fest 2025 is set to take place on March 1st, 2025, in Donovaly, Slovakia, as part of the World Rookie Tour. This unmissable freestyle event will bring together the best up-and-coming riders worldwide to compete in Slopestyle disciplines.

A freestyle hub in the heart of Slovakia

Donovaly is Slovakia’s freestyle capital, offering snowboard and freeski enthusiasts an epic playground. The Riderspark at Park Snow Donovaly will host the competition, ensuring a top-tier setup for riders to showcase their skills.

But the event is not just about the competition – it’s also about fun, friendships, and experiencing Slovakia’s stunning natural scenery and local cuisine.

The action kicks off on Friday, February 28th, 2025, with unofficial training sessions, followed by an online Riders & Coaches meeting in the evening (at the following LINK at 19:30). Saturday, March 1st, is the main event day, featuring:

A world-class event in freestyle skiing

Since its inception in 2015, the Nanshan Freeski Open has welcomed over 50 elite athletes from more than 10 countries, including notable stars like Eileen Gu, Alex Hall, Gus Kenworthy, and Matthew Walker. The event has consistently delivered high-energy performances and was celebrated as one of Beijing’s Top 10 Premium Sporting Events in 2024.

Special Rookie Rankings

Although not an international tour stop, the Nanshan Freeski Open holds a special Rookie Rank designation. Podium positions will qualify athletes for the Freeski Finals in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. The top 3 Rookie Girls, Rookie Boys, Grom Girls, and Grom Boys will earn spots in the FS Finals. We’re excited to announce that registrations are now open for the 20th edition of the 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest, which will take place from January 11 to 18, 2025. This milestone event will be hosted at the iconic Mottolino Snowpark in Livigno, Italy, and will bring together the world’s best young talents in freeski slopestyle (January 11-15) and Snowboard Slopestyle (January 14-18), attracting the world’s best young freestyle talents.

The 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest is an official FIS event, offering participants the chance to earn valuable FIS points. However, FIS code is not mandatory: non-FIS athletes are warmly invited to participate and showcase their skills.

The 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest will once again take place at the renowned Mottolino Snowpark, the same spectacular venue as in past years, known for its exceptional quality and unique course design. This unparalleled competition course is designed to amplify the excitement of freestyle and deliver an unforgettable experience for all participants.

We are excited to announce the 20th edition of the 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest, the longest-running and most anticipated event of the World Rookie Tour. It will occur from January 11th to 18th, 2025, in the stunning alpine setting of Livigno (Italy).

Once again, the event will feature both freeski and snowboard competitions, but with a major twist: this year, the order of the competitions has been reversed compared to last year! The event will kick off with freeski from January 11th to 15th, followed by the snowboard competitions from January 14th to 18th. This is a unique opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement alongside riders and fans worldwide.
