World Rookie Tour Announces Upcoming Qualifying Events Across Europe for February
The World Rookie Tour is excited to unveil a series of qualifying events set to take place across Europe throughout February. Promising an exhilarating showcase of talent in snowboarding and freeskiing, these competitions will provide young athletes with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on an international stage.
The tour kicks off with thrilling contests scheduled in various picturesque locations, including Finland, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Hungary, France, and the United Kingdom. Each stop on the tour promises to deliver high-energy action and fierce competition as riders and skiers vie for top honours.
Notably, the winners of the podiums at each event will earn a coveted spot in the international finals, further elevating the stakes and excitement surrounding these qualifying competitions: from March 10th to 15th, World Rookie Freeski Finals in Madonna di Campiglio (Italia) and from March 17th to 22nd World Rookie Snowboard Finals in Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun/Zell am See (Austria).

FINLAND ROOKIE FEST
8 – 11 February, VUOKATTI
Welcome to Vuokatti, Finland. Vuokatti is a legendary place for freestyle snowboarding in Finland. Finnish Snowboard Academy has been here since 2004 and also Olympic training center for winter sports is located here. Vuokatti ski resort has two amazing snowparks made in co-work with Schneestern. In Finland Rookie Fest 2024 Vuokatti we have many extra activities like skateboarding and trampoline sessions, SafeShred and Zero+ points and night RAIL JAM on the slopes.

SLOVAKIA ROOKIE FEST 2024
10 – 11 February, DONOVALY
Snowboard and Freeski teams: save the date 10 – 11 February 2024 for the revival of freestyle in Slovakia. We are pleased to welcome you all to Donovaly for the World Rookie Tour stop in Slovakia. We will meet on Friday 09.02. for the unofficial training, following races during the weekend, workshops, and a lot of fun. The ski resort in Donovaly is the hometown of freestyle in Slovakia. We hope you will experience not only great competition but also a drop of beautiful nature, domestic cuisine, and new friendships in the heart of our country. We are happy to welcome you to Donovaly!

INNSBRUCK FREESKI WORLD ROOKIE FEST 2024
17 – 19 February, INNSBRUCK
Innsbruck, Austria, is proud to host the 6th Edition of the Freeski World Rookie Fest from 17 – 19.02.2024. Once again Nordkette Skyline Park will host the next generation of Freeski to showcase the future of the sport. Riders will hit the Slopestyle course above Innsbruck to determine who will get tickets for this year’s World Rookie Freeski Finals later this season.

HUNGARIAN ROOKIE FEST 2024
22 – 25 February, MÁTRASZENTISTVÁN
The Black Yeti will come to Skipark Mátraszentistván, the most traditional area of Hungary, for the Hungarian Rookie Fest between 22 – 25.02.2024! The contest will take place in Skipark Mátraszentistván Slope number 5 is partially reserved for the competitions! The park for this amazing event will be here!

FRENCH KISS ROOKIE FEST 2024
23 – 25 February, FONT ROMEU
The Black Yeti makes its stop in France again in the stunning resort of Font Romeu, located at the heart of the Pyrenees Mountain range in the southern part of the country. Known for its friendly atmosphere and frequently visited by national teams from all kinds of sports seeking altitude training, Font Romeu set a benchmark in sports facilities in Europe some decades ago and keeps moving forward. The resort hosts the French National Training Center in Snowboard Freestyle and is home to Sunny Park, one the best snowparks in Europe, located 2100 m high. Come around and see by yourselves! Surrounded by several hot springs, a climbing area and close to the Spanish border, the French Kiss Rookie Fest will host you in style, both during the contest and around. Various workshops will make it for riders’ cohesion and exchange, DJs and live music on snow, and a brands’ village where boards and more will be tested.

UK ROOKIE FEST 2024
29 February – 1 March, MILTON KEYNES
For the very first time, the World Rookie Tour is set to make a stop in the UK on real snow!
The UK Rookie Fest offers a chance for the two top riders in both FreeSki and Snowboard to secure an invitation to the World finals in Italy (FreeSki) and Austria (Snowboard).
This exciting event in the World Rookie Tour will be hosted at SNOZONE – Milton Keynes, the premier snow centre in the UK for indoor freestyle skiing and snowboarding.
With its contemporary approach and positive atmosphere, Snozone provides the ideal setting for a World Rookie Tour competition. Join us on February 29th and March 1st at Snozone – Milton Keynes!
