The legendary Protest World Rookie Fest in Livigno, Italy, is back for its 7th edition. With a 3Star Slopestyle contest and many other side activities in the program, the Protest World Rookie Fest is ready again to showcase the future of snowboarding and assigns amazing prizes. The program will include a video premiere of The Art of Flight, a workshop about “Became a Pro” by Bob Klein and a new cable-snow contest, first time ever in Livigno with a 1.000€ prize money to grab.
From 14 to 18 January 2012, more than 100 riders from all over the world will land in the Swatch Mottolino Snowpark, Livigno, to shred this amazing rookie contest, pushing each other to the next level and showcasing the future of our sport.
Riders will be split in two categories: Rookie, born between 1st January 1994 and 31st December 1996, and Grom born after January 1st, 1997. Both male and female.

Participants are all strictly pre-selected in their home countries, ensuring that only the most promising riders can take part to this event. The overall technical level of the Protest World Rookie Fest has reached incredible peaks: double cork, double front flip and cab1260 are just some of the insane tricks performed in the last editions. This legendary event, promoted by WSF and TTR, will rock again the concept “From Rookie To Pro System” and will attract the best youngsters and many international team managers scouting for future stars: Snowboarding, the super heroes are coming!
