In august 2011 the first South America Snowboard Meeting was held in Valle Nevado, Chile. It saw the partecipation of delegates from Chile, Argentina, Brasil, Perù, and WSF Board of Directors from Europe.
Among the issues of the meeting a long presentation about WSF projects for upcoming seasons such as the world rookie tour, banked slalom tour, Para-Snowboarding, judge and shaper clinincs, and overview of the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo 2012 and the program to develope theWSF South America Snowboard Meeting in an annual meeting.
