Korea’s finest park “Phoenix Park” welcomed Korean pro riders from Korea, New Zealand and Canada for an exciting Am Big Air and Pro slopestyle contests.
Thanks to the “only rookie contest” here in Korea we had a lot of young rippers such as Sin Yoon and Jin Su Yoon, four Japanese kids traveling to very first time to brother country; Kaito Suzuki showed his skills with a back side board slide for first 10 m rail to Cab 5 for first hit and 2nd hit back side 360 and very last for R&R at wall ride.
Second place for Sora Sakashita, 14 years old, passing through rail and keep speed up to the first kicker with a frontside 720 and very stylish Indy for second jump. The winner, Yuki Kadono who rides for Ride snowboards, won thanks to a 50/50 rail and 360 spin out Cab 5 and B 7 and hand plant on the wall ride! He will flight to the “Protest World Rookie Finals” a 4 Star TTR event in Ischgl (AUT).
Last but not least Mimoza Murai, winner of Alts-Bandai’s “Indy Park Jam”. Her run consisted in 50/50 rail, nose grab on the first jump and front side 180 on the second one.
The 3rd edition of The North Face World Rookie Fest Asian was made thanks to KSBA and judged by IJC Korea crew. Biggest thanks goes to William, Alex and Lee.
