Circuito Bichos from Chile join the World Rookie Tour and announce its final as a Swatch TTR 1Star Slopestyle which will assign a ticket for the World Rookie Fest 2010 in Livigno.

The Australian Junior Series has just successfully completed with Ben Randall taking home the title and his ticket to the World Rookie Fest in Livigno, while “Circuito Bichos”, the most recognized rookie tour in Chile, announced to join the World Rookie Tour in September 2009.

The “Circuito Bichos” will finish with a 1Star TTR slopestyle final in Valle Nevado, Chile, on September 13th 2009, which will be the first competition in the history of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour to offer TTR ranking points in South America. The best rider from Chilean “bugs” series will get a ticket to the TTR 3Star Slopestyle “Protest World Rookie Fest 2010” held in the legendary Livigno Mottolino Snowpark, Italy.

It is exciting because we have very positive feedback about the quality of resorts and infrastructure.”, says Marco Sampaoli of the World Snowboard Federation.
Fabian Giavio, Director of the Circuito Bichos and member of Anden, the chilean snow sport organization, is satisfied with the development, “We will hold a nice Rookie Fest in South America and we are already working hard on it. Anden is happy to be involved in the World Rookie Tour and to be part of the World Snowboard Federation.”

The Circuito Bichos consists of 4 events and gathers the most talented under 18 years old riders from Chile. Organized by Anden in the main Chilean mountain resorts, this national rookie series has its own tour ranking system with more than 90 participants and registered its 2009 final as a Swatch TTR 1Star Slopestyle. Founded by Terje Haakonsen and industry innovators in 2002, the Swatch Ticket To Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour is a non-profit, rider-driven organization with the mission “to create the highest quality competitive snowboard environment in the world, using authenticity, accessibility, innovation as guiding principles”.
