North Face Korea Rookie Fest 2009

The World Rookie Tour moves to Asia from 4 to 6 february with the Swatch TTR 2Star “North Face Korea Rookie Fest”. Just 2 weeks after the amazing 3star event in Livigno, some of the best youngster are ready to move in Korea’n best resort with operate an excellent asia snowpark and half pipe: Phoenix Park on Taeji Mountain.

The rookies “Never Stop Expoling” and are now ready to continue their “Conquer the Snowboard Age” saga thanx to the exclusive outdoor & sports brand “North Face”, sponsor of this new asian challenge. Teddy Koo from Japan, after the 7th place in Livigno, is one of the favorite, togheter with the austrian rising star Paul Dreher who will fly in Korea with a european delegation of riders and media.
“The North Face Korea Rookie Fest” will open to all the rookie snowboarders in the world and give them lifetime opportunities: the winner will get a free ticket to enter the Swatch TTR 4star “Protest World Rookie Final” in Ischgl, Austria, including travel and accomodation costs. North Face wishes all the rookies to get great hopes & memories at the first step of the World Rookie Tour in Korea.

Costs
For both athletes and staff the cost of meals will not exceed 10€
The ski-pass cost will be free on trainning day and event day (5 and 6 feb)
Accomodation cost start from 20€ per night including breakfast

Airport: Inchun Korea.
Pick Up Service: about 40 Euro per person (2 hours to reach Phoenix Park)

ABOUT WORLD ROOKIE TOUR & WORLD ROOKIE RANK
Only the best rookies in the world will be granted access to the World Rookie Tour big final: the Swatch TTR 4Star “Protest World Rookie Finals” in Ischgl, Austria, from April 15 to April 19, 2009. Only the winners of the previous qualifiers will be able to go to Ischgl, together with the best athletes of the World Rookie Rank on April 5, and the wild cards that single nations give to their most promising rookies. The World Rookie Rank is a classification for under 18’s only and it is developed by the World Snowboard Federation (WSF) in collaboration with TTR. At the end of the World Rookie Tour, the final winner will be awarded with the title of World Rookie Champion. He will be offered a unique opportunity to enter the world of professional snowboarding: an invitation to a Video Shooting with the Pirate Movie Production, a Photo Shooting by On Board Europe and an invitation to an event which is still kept secret are awaiting the winner.
