Austria Cup 2008

N.ASA, New Austrian Snowboard Association, announce the 2008 Cup which include 12 official events at 2star level and the final event 3Star Austrian Masters. Follow all informations.

From 29th of February to 2nd of March the Austrian Masters 2008 are taking place in the k-park in Kühtai and in the Nordpark/Innsbruck.

As the finals of the Austria Cup Tour (12 tour stops, slopestyle), the Austrian Masters will define the Master 2008 in the discipline of freestyle snowboarding.

On Friday 29th of March the shredders will fight for the slopestyle title in the k-park in Kühtai and on the 1st of March the Austrian Halfpipe Master 08 will be detected. The Halfpipe event is a contest opened to everyone.

The Austrian Master 07 slopestyle Patrik Huber will have to strongly defend his title as a number of rookies like Simon Pircher, Marvin Salmina or Roland Scharmer are ready for the battle. For the incumbent Austrian Halfpipe Master Mone Monsberger it will be hard to defend his title as he is very occupied editing Tell-Ä-Vision productions and therefore does not get the chance to train his halfpipe skills.

The Austrian Masters 08 are rated as a TTR 3(three) star event and besides the 10.000 Euro prize money, there are valuable TTR points to be collected.

At the Kaunertal Opening the following ladies qualified for the Austrian Masters 08: Agnieszka Rusin, Silke Unseld, Silvi Schlereth, Pia Meusburger and Katharina Höfer. The qualified men are: Elias Elhardt, Ville Uotilla, Marc Swoboda, Patrik Huber und Benjamin Wetscher.

The winner of the Austrian Masters 08 receives additionally to the title a wildcard for the Ästhetiker Jam – Wängl Tängl 08.
